SSM - Population Health is an online-only, open access, peer reviewed journal covering all areas relating social science research to population health. It welcomes interdisciplinary work across the social sciences and allied areas, including primary research articles, replication studies, methodological studies, instrument validation, opinion pieces, literature reviews, and special issues or sections, and is indexed in DOAJ, Scopus, PubMed Central, and ESCI.

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must be up to 9000 words including abstract, tables, figures, references, and the main text. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections with numbered subsections. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 English keywords, three to five highlights provided as a Word document, and a generative AI declaration statement at the end of the manuscript before the references if AI tools were used in manuscript preparation.
References Citations in the text must follow American Psychological Association style. Reference list must be arranged alphabetically and then chronologically, with same-year works by the same author distinguished by a, b, c, and all cited references included in the list and vice versa.
