Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. Cover letter must indicate why the manuscript is suitable for publication and disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or submission made on behalf of the authors by a non-author.
Abstract
A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include Background, Objectives, Design, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Registration if applicable.
Manuscript
Manuscript word count of up to 6000 words excluding tables, figure legends, and references is recommended. Manuscript should include clearly defined sections with clear heading levels, and the methods section must state which reporting guidelines were consulted. At least 2 keywords must follow the abstract, and the manuscript must include Acknowledgements, Author Contributions, and a Statements and Declarations section with all required subheadings, using 'Not applicable' where needed.
References
References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and vice versa, with identical spelling and year in corresponding citations.
Figures & Tables
Figures and images must be uploaded, and tables must be editable within the Word manuscript rather than included as images. Figures must be numbered consecutively and include a number and title, while tables must be labeled as tables and include a number, title, and header row and/or column.

Abstract
Abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and no more than 300 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript
Manuscript length of around 4000 to 6000 words excluding tables, figure legends, and references is recommended. Manuscript must include an unstructured abstract between the title and main body, use clear heading levels in logical order, and include Acknowledgements, Author Contributions, and a ‘Statements and Declarations’ section at the end. Include at least 2 keywords after the abstract and include a funding statement plus the required subheadings within the ‘Statements and Declarations’ section, using ‘Not applicable’ where a declaration does not apply.
