Trends in Cancer is a member of the Trends review journals that publishes concise expert commentary on frontline research topics and advances in cancer discovery and medicine. Abstract Abstract is required and must be 100 to 120 words. Abstract must be 100 to 120 words.
Manuscript Main text must be 3000 to 3500 words, excluding boxes, tables, figure legends, abstract, and references. Manuscript must use a short descriptive heading instead of “Introduction” for the introductory section, keep that section to one or two paragraphs, and end with “Concluding Remarks” or “Concluding Remarks and Future Perspectives.” Manuscript must include 3 to 5 Highlights in a separate Word file, a required Outstanding Questions Box in a separate Word file, at least two and no more than six keywords, and declaration of interests and generative AI statements in the text.
References Main text may include no more than 80 references. References must be numbered in square brackets in order of citation and listed in that same order rather than alphabetically.
Figures & Tables Reviews may contain up to six additional elements consisting of figures, tables, and text boxes, with no more than four text boxes permitted. Figures must be supplied as separate files, while tables must be created in Word and submitted as part of the main document rather than as separate files. Each figure legend must have a short explanatory title, fully explain the figure without referring to the text, and be no more than 250 words, while tables must have a single-sentence title and no legend.
