Original Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter must be submitted. The cover letter must explain why the manuscript is suitable for publication and must disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or preparation by a non-author, if applicable.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must be 150–200 words. The abstract must be structured.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 3000 words, excluding figures and tables. Original Research Articles must be organized as Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. The manuscript must include at least 5 keywords after the abstract and a 'Statements and Declarations' section at the end of the article, and a visual abstract should be uploaded as supplemental material.
References The manuscript may include a maximum of 50 references. References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must correspond to a reference list entry and vice versa, with identical spelling and year in each paired citation.
Figures & Tables The manuscript may include a maximum of 6 figures and tables combined. Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the text for separately submitted figures. Figures must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, and tables must be labeled as tables with a number and title and be editable within Word rather than submitted as images.
