Original Articles

Cover Letter The title page or first page file must include statements that all authors approved the manuscript and meet authorship requirements, along with any required conflict disclosures and corresponding author contact details if not provided elsewhere.
Abstract Original Articles must include an abstract. The abstract must be 250 words. The abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Original Articles must be up to 3000 words excluding abstract, references, and tables. Original Articles must be divided into Abstract, Key-words, Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Tables, and Figure legends. The manuscript must include key-words, disclose any use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in the Methods or Acknowledgments section, and Original Articles reporting clinical trials must contain a data sharing statement.
References Original Articles should include about 30 references. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention and cited as superscript Arabic numerals in square brackets, with more than six authors shortened to the first six followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Tables with more than 10 columns and 25 rows are not acceptable. Tables with their legends and figure legends must be placed at the end of the article file, while images must not be incorporated into the blinded article file and must be submitted separately. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively in the order first cited in the text.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A short summary of the contributor’s or contributors’ work done in the review field must accompany the submission.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be unstructured and 250 words. The abstract must be unstructured. The abstract must summarize the methods used for locating, selecting, extracting, and synthesizing data.
Manuscript The manuscript must be up to 3000 words excluding tables, references, and abstract. The manuscript must include a section describing the methods used for locating, selecting, extracting, and synthesizing data. Case Reports

Cover Letter Title page or first page file or covering letter must include manuscript type, title, running title, all authors’ names and affiliations, total pages, total photographs, abstract and text word counts, sources of support, acknowledgments, meeting presentation details if applicable, conflicts of interest if not provided elsewhere, inclusion criteria for authorship, a statement that all authors approved the manuscript and that the work is honest, and corresponding author contact details if not provided on the manuscript.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract should be about 150 words. Abstract must be unstructured. The manuscript must include an Abstract section followed by Key-words, Introduction, Case report, Discussion, Reference, Tables, and Legends in that order.
Manuscript Manuscript must be up to 1000 words excluding abstract and references. Manuscript must use the headings Abstract, Key-words, Introduction, Case report, Discussion, Reference, Tables, and Legends in that order. The manuscript must include Key-words and must disclose any generative AI or AI-assisted technologies used, naming the tool and its purpose in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References Case Reports may include up to 10 references. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention, cited as superscript Arabic numerals in square brackets after punctuation, use Index Medicus journal abbreviations, and list the first six authors followed by et al. when there are more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Images must not be incorporated into the blinded article file, figure legends must be included at the end of the article file, and tables with their legends must be provided at the end of the text after the references. Tables must be self-explanatory, numbered consecutively, and each have a brief title, while figure legends must use Arabic numerals and not exceed 40 words excluding any credit line.
