Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter or completed journal submission form should accompany the submission. The cover letter or submission form should include statements on authorship and conflicts of interest, contact information for the responsible author if not in the manuscript, and disclosure of any generative AI use.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Articles. The abstract must be 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion, and it must specify the number of study participants with conclusions emphasizing clinical relevance.
Manuscript The text must not exceed 3,500 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figure legends. The text should usually be divided into Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. The manuscript must include 3 to 5 MeSH keywords after the abstract and include disclosure of generative AI use in the appropriate section if applicable.
References No more than 50 references are permitted. References must use Vancouver style with consecutive numbers in parentheses in the text. References must be listed in citation order, and if a reference has more than 7 authors, the first 6 should be listed followed by “et al.”.
Figures & Tables No more than 7 tables and figures in total are permitted. Tables must be submitted separately from the main body of the paper. Only one table or figure may be provided per page.

Review

Cover Letter Cover letter should accompany the submission or authors may instead provide a completed journal submission form. If provided, the cover letter or submission form must include statements on authorship and conflicts of interest, plus contact information for the author responsible for communication if not included in the manuscript.
Abstract An abstract is required for reviews. Abstract must not exceed 150 words. Abstract structure is not explicitly specified for reviews in general, but systematic reviews or meta-analyses must include a structured abstract.
Manuscript Review text must not exceed 6,000 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figure legends. Reviews must be organized as Title page, Introduction, Main text, Conclusion, and References. Review manuscripts should describe the methods used for locating, selecting, extracting, and synthesizing data.
References Reviews may include an unlimited number of references, although they should not exceed 100 references. References must be cited in Vancouver style using consecutive numbers in parentheses. References must be listed in order of citation, and for works with more than 7 authors the first 6 authors should be listed followed by “et al.”.
Figures & Tables Reviews may include no more than 7 tables and figures. Tables must be submitted separately from the main body of the paper. Only one table or figure may be provided per page.

Case Report

Abstract An abstract is required for Case Reports. The abstract must not exceed 150 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The text must not exceed 1,500 words excluding references, figure legends, and tables. The manuscript must be organized as Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Case Report, Discussion, References, Tables, and Figures. Up to 3 keywords must be provided after the abstract, and any use of generative AI must be disclosed in the manuscript and cover letter.
References No more than 20 references are permitted. References must be cited in Vancouver style using consecutive numbers in parentheses. References must be listed in order of citation, and if a reference has more than 7 authors, the first 6 authors must be listed followed by “et al.”.
Figures & Tables No more than 7 tables and figures in total are permitted. Tables must be submitted separately from the main body of the paper. Only one table or figure may be provided per page, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images.

References No more than 15 references are permitted. References in the text must be cited using consecutive numbers in parentheses in Vancouver style. References must be listed in the order of citation, and if a reference has more than 7 authors, list the first 6 authors followed by “et al.”.
Figures & Tables No more than 1 figure or table may be included. Tables must be submitted separately from the main body of the paper. Only one table or figure may be provided per page.
