Submission Instructions

Biocybernetics And Biomedical Engineering accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Original Articles

Cover Letter A statement signed by the first author confirming that the work has not been published previously or submitted elsewhere for review must be included.
Abstract A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract must be unstructured. The abstract must briefly state the purpose of the research, the principal results, and the major conclusions.
Manuscript Original Articles exceeding 12 typeset pages, approximately 25 manuscript pages or 26,500 characters without spaces including tables and figures, may incur an excess-page charge for pages 13 and above. Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. The manuscript must include a maximum of 6 keywords, a competing interests statement, and an AI-use declaration section before the references if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References References must be numbered in square brackets in the order in which they appear in the text. Journal names in references must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files with captions supplied separately, and tables must be uploaded with titles, descriptions, and footnotes. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the text, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images.
