It concentrates on clinical research reports and includes editorials and reviews, with coverage of stomach/esophagus, bowel, neurogastroenterology, liver/bile, pancreas, metabolism/nutrition, and gastrointestinal oncology. Research Article

Cover Letter The cover letter should describe the gap in knowledge that the manuscript addresses.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript A Research Article is typically 5000 words in length. The manuscript must include Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. The manuscript must include a short title for the running head, 3–5 keywords, a Statement of Ethics section, a Conflict of Interest Statement, a Funding Sources section, an Author Contributions section, a Data Availability Statement, and required statements after the main body text and before the reference list.
References Vancouver References must be cited sequentially in the text using Arabic numerals in square brackets and listed numerically in the order cited, with only cited publications included in the reference list.
Figures & Tables A Research Article typically includes 4 to 8 tables and figures. Figures and tables must be uploaded as separate items in their original file format, with the manuscript text, tables, and figures submitted as separate files. Figures and tables must include legends, figure references must use 'Figure' in text and 'Fig.' in parentheses or legends, and tables should be prepared in MS Word.

Review Article

Abstract Required. Structured. Background, Summary, and Key Messages.
Manuscript Review Articles must contain Acknowledgement, Conflict of Interest Statement, Funding Sources, and Author Contributions sections after the main body of the text and before the reference list. Review Articles must include a critical discussion of the reported data, a clear conclusion with potential impacts on the standard of care, 3–5 keywords, and declarations required for conflicts of interest, funding, and author contributions.
References Numerical. References must be cited sequentially using Arabic numerals in square brackets, listed only if cited in the text, arranged in citation order, and include no more than 6 authors per reference followed by et al. if there are more than 6.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be uploaded as separate items in their original file format. Figure legends must be included in the format "Fig. 1. Legend text." and figures mentioned in text must use "Figure" outside parentheses and "Fig." inside parentheses.
