Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with every submission. Cover letter should indicate the intended manuscript category and must state that formal collection permission was obtained when organisms were collected from a foreign country.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be a single paragraph.
Manuscript Manuscript should use clearly identified standard sections for original research and include an untitled introductory section and an Experimental Section. The manuscript must include a graphical summary for the table of contents and disclose any use of AI tools in the Acknowledgments or Methods section as appropriate.
References References and notes must be numbered in order of appearance, cited with superscript numbers, include titles, and use Chemical Abstracts Service journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures should be embedded in the text at the point of relevance, and for structure reports in Articles only data and graphics integral to the discussion should be included in the manuscript file. Each figure must have a brief caption placed below it, and each table must have a brief title or caption describing its contents.

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with every submission. The cover letter should indicate the intended manuscript category, and for organism collections from a foreign country it must state that formal collection permission was obtained.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured as a single paragraph.
Manuscript Manuscript should include an untitled introductory section stating the purpose of the investigation and relating the work to similar research. A graphical summary for the table of contents must be included, and any use of AI tools for text or image generation must be disclosed in the Acknowledgments or described fully in the Methods or another appropriate section depending on extent of use.
References References must be numbered in order of appearance and cited in the text with superscript numbers. References may be in any style for initial submission, but they must be complete, include titles, and use Chemical Abstracts Service journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures should be embedded in the text at the point of relevance. Each figure must have a brief caption below it, and each table must have a brief descriptive title.
