The Korean Journal of Anesthesiology (KJA; ISSN: 2005-6419) is the official, English-language, peer-reviewed journal of the Korean Society of Anesthesiologists, publishing clinical and scientific work across anesthesiology, critical care, and pain medicine. While its regional focus is primarily Korea, the journal welcomes submissions from researchers worldwide. KJA publishes original articles as well as reviews, editorials, case reports, letters to the editor, and educational “Statistical Round” pieces, and it explicitly welcomes negative results that can inform clinical practice and future research. The journal prioritizes clarity, uniqueness, and advancement in design, performance, and knowledge. Original Article

Cover Letter No cover letter is specified as required for Original Articles.
Abstract Every manuscript must include an English structured abstract, using no more than 250 words. It must include four subsections: Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions
Manuscript Use IMRaD structure with the following order: Title, running title, abstract/keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion (including conclusions), References, Tables, and Figure Legends, with each major section starting on a new page; no overall word limit is specified.
References Format references in NLM Citing Medicine style, numbered in order of first citation, listing up to six authors before “et al.” and providing full English details with complete page ranges; no maximum reference count is indicated.
Figures & Tables Include tables within the manuscript (generally >4 rows and ≤1 page each) and upload each figure as a separate high‑resolution tif, jpg, pdf, gif, or ppt file (≥600 dpi for photos/graphs, ≥1,200 dpi for line drawings), with detailed legends in a separate manuscript section and up to 20 supplemental videos allowed; no maximum count for figures or tables is specified.
